I actually jerry-rigged these baskets to fit under my desk using eye bolts so that they slide back and forth. They work well for holding snacks and other items that I don't want on top of my desk and give me a little extra space. The dark color makes them hard to see which is an added plus. They are lightweight. Bearing in mind I am not using them as they were intended, but they suit my purpose. They are about 5-6 inches deep and about a foot across. I don't think I'd want them out so people could see them, but they don't look cheap and are fairly sturdy.
