We do not have wood shelves but wire shelves and these fit only on one of them. The dividers are thin enough so they don't take up too much space, but sturdy enough to keep my spouses t-shirts in nice neat stack.These acrylic shelf dividers are very easy to install and they stay in place. I like that the dividers are resistant and the design is very modern, they make my closet look more organized.These rigid shelf dividers clamp strong on the shelf so they don’t accidentally slip around. My husband was very pleased with the thickness and rigidity of the dividers. They are not flimsy and there were plenty for us to use in multiple closets.I have a shelf in each of my two closets where I keep my pullover sweaters folded and stacked. I have a lot of them, so the stacks are not short. Despite having used wire dividers to separate the stacks and keep them from falling over, the shelves were always a mess. These acrylic dividers, which are much more solid, higher, and sturdier are, however, definitely up to the task.They easily and firmly attached to the shelves and stay in place to hold the stacks of sweaters neatly. I am very pleased with the dividers and will be using the remaining two to organize towels in my linen closet.I cannot say enough about how much I love these!
