The price was a good one, and I was not expecting hardwood but this is a bookcase that I only intended to put in a corner or in the hall for books that I had run out of space for in the other bookcase locations. It is sturdy enough and has the obvious amount of room. As for putting it together.....my son came and did that for me and he had no problems. If you want to store books rather than stack them on the floor...this is a good solution and the size can fit in a lot of places. You will like solving your book storage problem.
